5. Gillette Castle State Park, East Haddam

6. Lavender Pond Farm, Killingworth
A working lavender farm that photographs like a soft purple dream. The bloom is seasonal, roughly midsummer, so check their schedule before setting your heart on it, and confirm their photography policy when you do.
7. A fair, carnival, or amusement park
If you two are the couple who’s always laughing, skip the scenery and go where the fun is: carousel lights, cotton candy, games neither of you can win. These sessions produce the most candid frames we take all year.
8. Harkness Memorial State Park, Waterford
A seaside mansion, formal gardens, sweeping lawns, and a rocky stretch of Long Island Sound, all in one park, which is why Harkness might be the most versatile session location in Connecticut. You can go elegant against the Eolia mansion and pergolas, soft in the gardens, or windswept down on the water, and the light off the Sound in the last hour is something else.
